A Woman Wants a Man Incapable of Manipulation with Laurel Irwin

Laurel Irwin is a wife, mother of 4, obsessed with weightlifting, which is why she is a fitness coach who specializes in global strength and body recomposition.

She is insatiably curious about the psychology of motivation and the power of internal beliefs. That’ll become evident the more you listen to this episode. She describes people and relationships as currency, her measure of success & fulfillment.

It’s not uncommon for women to place such a high value on people and relationships — it’s been proven time and again that men prefer things, objects, working with their hands, that sort of thing. And women tend to veer on the side of people & relationships in their preferences.

This is best demonstrated by career choice among sexes — even in countries widely considered most egalitarian, such as those in Scandanavia, where men makeup ~80% engineers.

Laurel says one of her deepest values is truth. Before I tell you what’s covered in this episode, I’ll say this: Laurel is one of the top 2 or 3 smartest gals I’ve had on the podcast.

I really enjoyed our conversation. It felt like healthy debate, at times, which is something I realized in our back & forth that we’re lacking in this country.
